Press Release
“Horizons Gets Hollywood Makeover”
To reopen with New Name, New Owner
Horizons on Cape Cod Bay, the town’s only beachside restaurant is under new ownership and will be reopened this spring with a new name, a new interior design and a new menu. Horizons is on Town Neck Road.
Robert J. Piquette, his sister Tracy L. LaBonte and her husband Eric C. LaBonte all of Firefly Lane bought the restaurant from Frank Kelleher who owned it for 28 years. Mr. Piquette said this week that the new name will be Hemisphere.
In addition, one of Mr. Piquette’s friends Chad Detweiller is a set designer in Hollywood and is designing the new layout for the restaurant. Mr. Detweiller’s credits include the Farrelly Brothers’ film “Outside Providence” starring Alec Baldwin and “Next Stop Wonderland” that starred recent Oscar winner Philip Seymour Hoffman. Mr. Detweiller is between projects.
“We’re working on the building now,” Mr. Piquette said. “It’s going to be drastically different.”
Mr. Piquette said that Mr. LaBonte is a chef at the Four Seasons and that he hopes to dramatically revamp the menu.
For townspeople who love the old Horizons, the bar upstairs, the deck and the downstairs function room will remain.
“I’m extremely excited,” Mr. Piquette said. “We’ve had a lot of positive responses from townspeople.”
The grand re-opening for Hemisphere is planned for early May; an exact date has not yet been set.
